I was "the other" at a demonstration...

Well, one of the nine others anyway…

In which capacity I was pleased to be at the Stop the War demo today. Where I was pleased to see our Deputy General Secretary leading the march, where I also bumped into other UNISON members in the John4Leader contingent.

My impression was that the demonstration was larger than any similar demonstration for some time. I hear the Police estimate was 10,000!

I can only suggest that the Police Federation need to put a bit more energy into basic skills training in numeracy for whoever came up with that figure…

Chairs of all the trade union broad lefts and Labour councillors. It was supposed to be a cross-section of the labour movement - but unfortunately the Guardian insisted that only 3 could be printed.

As it was, they've basically broken their editorial policy of not allowing the words "John" and "McDonnell" to be printed together in any article.

Owen - you nearly revealed the secret identity of superheros ;p

I was hoping to keep the other identities secret so that the "nine others" could live for ever in legend, like the Magnificent Seven, the Three Musketeers - or even the Two Ronnies...
