Tories on the attack

I won't repeat what I have just said about Tuesday night's excellent meeting in Barnet.

Suffice to say that
Barnet UNISON are taking the best advice and doing the best that can be done to build a campaign against privatisation with the social and political weight to stop outsourcing even in circumstances in which all the main political parties are wedded to neoliberal solutions.

Of course Barnet is a Tory Council - as is Hammersmith and Fulham where the Tories are proposing to dismiss and re-engage staff in order to force through an attack upon conditions of service.

London's local government Tories are showing us now what Cameron's Britain would be like for working people. If only a major national union opposed to this would mount a significant London wide campaign to highlight these attacks and mobilise opposition to them...
