I have spent today talking about how we fight cuts in public services that will limit the life chances of future generations - and I am always motivated to do so by concern for my own children.
When considering the impact upon retired public servants of the disgraceful decision to uprate pensions in future in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rather than the Retail Price Index (RPI) I cannot help but reflect upon the impact upon my parents (a retired teacher and a retired civil servant).
It feels to me as if this Government of public schoolboys is attacking my kids and my parents!
Don't send any more ConDem Government Ministers to our borough any time soon...

Absolutely agree Jon and there is a clear need for all branches to link with retired member forums and community groups to fight these cuts as no one (apart from the public school boy types born with a banana in their mouths) will escape this attack. There is a rebellion in the air and people in general will not accept these severe cuts!
