We should perhaps do the same for UNISON members."<br><br>What you didn't say was that a few years ago there were changes to the UNISON staff pension scheme that meant an increase in contributions of 3% for all staff and a reduction in some benefits.<br><br>Without the above information your statement about the staff pension scheme is utterly misleading as it implies staff have not had a detrimental change to their pensions.<br><br>Are you are suggesting the changes to the staff pension scheme should similarly apply to LGPS members? If so, this would mean retaining a final salary pension scheme but with an increase in contributions for all LGPS members.<br><br>If not, perhaps you should perhaps practice what you preach, and be honest when making statements about the pension scheme of the staff that you as an NEC member employ.<br><br>Doreen Blogger (sister of Doris)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
