Labour Link - an apology

I was really pleased to hear about plans for the UNISON National Labour Link Committee to issue an apology to UNISON National Delegate Conference for having nominated Gordon Brown to be leader of the Labour Party, in the light of the reactionary policies which he has since pursued.

UNISON insider, Avril Poisson, spilled the beans to me earlier and I understand that an explanatory circular will be issued to all branches this morning – so check your email before noon!

  2. I suppose it is a little depressing to think that a similar joke about our trade union's intervention in the Labour Party could have been made each first of April for the last decade...

    No, Jon, come on.
You've got a rep as a wit but this was really a damp rag. We really need you to be on better form than this. I'm not a subscriber to the 'tears of a clown' theory, but anyone would think you were depressed! OK, things aren't good at the moment, but we so need our clowns to raise our spirits!

Yes now really Jon! By being insufficiently witty you are playing into the hands of the class enemy and revealing yourself to be little more than a crypto-centrist lapdog apologist for the craven running-dog quasi-left imperialism of the Livingstone junta er vote Boris no hang on..
