Now -read the book!

Men fight and lose the battle, and the thing that they fought for comes about in spite of their defeat, and when it comes turns out not to be what they meant, and other men have to fight for what they meant under another name. (William Morris - A Dream of John Ball)

Support UNISON members on strike at LMU

Workers at London Met University are striking next Tuesday in opposition to massive job cuts.

Following an unfortunate delay about which I am still awaiting a full explanation it is good news that UNISON and UCU members are taking action together - you can add your support online thanks to LabourStart.

Do that now - and get along to the picket lines next Tuesday if you possibly can.

A dodge typical of hostile employers and one which the RMT has been subject to for many years. It is a question of making it harder and harder for them to use anti union laws in this undemocratic way. But the laws are so bad and the courts so hostile it is a risk that can never be discounted. Let's hope its fired up the workforce.
Solidarity with the LMU workers.
