UNISON Greater London Regional Council - Nothing to see here
It is disappointing that today's meeting of the UNISON Greater London Regional Council doesn't even have half a quorum. This means that the invited speakers (of whom those present are not permitted to ask questions) are addressing a largely empty hall in the building formerly known as the University of London Union.
It is now eleven years since a meeting other than the Annual General Meeting of the Regional Council attracted a quorum of delegates - and this is not something which troubles the Regional Office or the majority of the Regional Committee.
UNISON in Greater London successfully provides a significant number of secure and relatively well-remunerated jobs, as well as ensuring the payment of expenses for members attending meetings.
Really, it would be churlish to expect more.
